Guinness World Records requires us to weigh our Record-Breaking sauerkraut in a single vessel and then distribute it for consumption. And why wouldn’t we? It will taste delicious and will have been cleared as safe for consumption by food hygiene.
We want to spread the fermented gut love as far and as wide as possible. So, we need volunteers to help us in Wells on Friday 26 October and Saturday 27 October.
This will involve a group of us transferring the sauerkraut from the weigh-in vessel into approximately 800 pots (kindly provided by Yeo Valley Organic) and then distributing them to schools, restaurants, cafes, businesses and individuals in the area.
We are also looking for people/organisations who may want to bring their own vessels to Jo’s house in Wells, where we will fill them with sauerkraut for you to take away.
In addition, we will need to man a stand at Wells Market on that Saturday, where we will be giving away our sauerkraut.
Ideally, this process will be completed by the end of Saturday 27 October, because Katie is going to France for 4 months on Sunday 28 October!!!
It is going to be a hugely fun process and if you are keen to be a part of it, please contact Katie Venner here
